Tri-Town Shelter Services Provides Temporary Housing Providing temporary housing / shelter to those experiencing homelessness remains our primary purpose. Satisfying this basic human need, they can focus their energies on addressing the contributing factors resulting in their homelessness. During intake the "house rules and program requirements" are clearly communicated and residents agreeing to abide by them. In a very real sense our facility serves the dual purpose of providing shelter and an environment in which life skills can be relearned. Each of us have learned coping skills growing up that require periodic updating. When life throws us a "curve ball," we need to adjust our approach. Each resident meets weekly with staff for case management and service plan review. At this time the resident and staff identify the steps needed to address the contributing factors resulting in homelessness and those needed to move towards self-sufficiency. |
